When you buy your vegetables, you always need to wash them and if you pull them out of your own garden, or buy organic or farm direct, you will have even more scrubbing to do. With this Eco Max Vege Brush you can easily scrub them clean, meaning less need for peeling too, increasing your consumption of all of that lovely fibre and vitamins from the vegetable skin.

The Eco Max Kitchen Range is environmentally-friendly, biodegradable and entirely handmade products that utilize waste products and natural materials that can replace plastics in the kitchen. Using Fair Trade principles all the handmade components use natural unbleached materials, such as Alistonia timber and natural sisal or waste products, such as the coco fibre, from the husk of the coconut and rubber wood a waste product from rubber production. Even the sealant used on the timber is a non-toxic toy paint sealer and the wire is galvanised so it won’t rust. At the end of their life the Eco Max Kitchen Range can be put into your compost bin where they will breakdown naturally leaving only a piece of wire to throw out.

Care: Rinse, shake and hang to dry.

I believe that they have been ethical made in Sri Lanka and whilst I maybe should be bùying closer to home; I cannot resist that these brushes are made from Coco fibre (waste product of coconuts).
I love these no more peeling carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, potatoes etc giving them a scrub with the Eco Max removes the dirt without removing all those yummy nutrients.
It is easy to use (my 6 year old uses it to scrub her fresh picked carrots) and it also has a handy hook/string for hanging. We hang ours above the sink for easy access.
Price is reasonable especially due to how long they will last.

totally agree – a fantastic product and buying fair trade is a great way to support other communities. Thank you for sharing. I can imagine your 6 year old picking carrots and giving them a scrub – what a lovely image
